An open letter from a stray to a hooman.

These two are my little kids called BumbleBee (Bambi) and Bumbo. After I got Bumble at home, my whole perspective towards the stray animals changed. Now I can decode their body language and even different types of barks. They communicate with us in multiple ways. Everyday brings new struggles to them. All they expect from us is little empathy and care. Below is an open letter to all of us….

You hate me, you hit me, you kick me and throw stones,

it hurts my skin it hurts my bones.

What makes you happy? How is it fun?

What is my crime? Tell me what have I done?

What is the difference between me and you?

I walk on 4 legs, you walk on 2.

I speak a language which you don’t understand,

You speak a language which I don’t understand.

But there is something for which even mighty empires bow,

It’s called language of love, just in case you wanna know.

Why are you so evil? I just can’t think,

I too need food to eat, need water to drink.

To the posterity, what are you gonna teach?

Without empathy, tell me how far will you reach?

All your superficial achievements, does that make you better?

Every day you drown deeper in pride, that makes me even sadder.

Empty handed we come, empty handed we leave,

leaving behind all the loved ones to bereave.

It’s a bitter truth, I ain’t gonna lie,

One fine day my friend, we both are gonna die!!
